Here is a recipe for an amazing ham glaze that you must try! You can literally put this on any piece of Beeler’s Pure Pork.
Apple-Ginger Ham Glaze
Ingredients:
1 quart apple cider
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup beet sugar
4 sprigs fresh thyme
1 tablespoon black peppercorns
1 finger fresh ginger, sliced
1 each star anise
½ stick cinnamon
4 each allspice berries
2 hibiscus blossoms or dry flower such as rose
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients and simmer until thickened. Sauce should coat the back of a spoon. Do not over reduce. Slow and low that is the tempo.
- Strain glaze through chinois, cool and reserve.
