A Grandma Weezie Favorite! Great for the crockpot – besides being tasty!


  • 4 pork steaks 1/2″ thick
  • 1 large green pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup bottled barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbls quick cooking tapioca pudding
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tbls cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup tarragon vinegar


  1. Cut pork steaks in half, crosswise and brown in hot cooking oil on both sides.
  2. Drain steaks on paper towels.
  3. In slow cooker, arrange onion, green pepper, and tomatoes.
  4. Sprinkle tapioca over vegetables.
  5. Place pork steaks over veggies.
  6. In blow, mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
  7. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 hours.
